The Everflex Aerobic and Dance floor System is assembled so that every athlete gets the precise shock absorption and impact isolation that he or she requires- regardless of weight class or ability level. It reacts in a fraction of a second and responds only when required by the athlete. The system is designed of three components- each with its own specific purpose. The most visible part, the wood surface , is made of an attractive beech hardwood, 7/8" thick for durability and strength. This surface is prefinished with three coats of anaerobic traction polyurethane, designed for precise footing for aerobic exercise. The boards meet at a tongue and groove joint, and are held together by a spring steel clip, which allows the floor to flex along this joint upon impact and then spring back in place. At the point of impact, the continuous 4/4" foam underlayment beneath the wood and clip assembly, absorbs the shock of the participant's impact on the floor and dissipates the resultant energy. Unlike all other Aerobic hardwood floors, the engineering behind Exerflex insures consistent performance at all points. The Clip system also allows the floor to be completely free floating- that is to say, that the floor is not fastened tot he walls or the subfloor, but rather only to itself. This allows the floor to be easily moved or relocated, since it is not tied down to any structure in the aerobic room. The Everflex Floor Systems meets or exceeds all DIN standards for shock absorption, resilience, surface friction, impact isolation and surface stability. The Exerflex System and MP-2000 System is warrantied against defects for five years and backed by a manufacturer with over 60 years of experience. Recommended for Aerobics and Dance- total height of 1 5/8" components include prefinished 7/8" solid beech flooring, the exeraire Triple Ply Air cushioning system consisting of three types of foam and tempered steel clips.
